The Rinckers have an agricultural heritage that spans four generations of farmers and cattlemen.
Irl graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Animal Science. He was actively involved in livestock judging teams during his youth and was 4th high individual at the National contest in 1976 (The North American International). In 1980, he married his Canadian wife and life-long partner, Anne. Irl worked on a purebred angus ranch in Canada. Irl's wife, Anne, is a graduate of George Brown University in Toronto and worked as a Registered Nurse. Irl has judged at both the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto, Ontario, and the Atlantic Winter Fair, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
During this time, they exhibited many national champions, and had the top selling production sale in Canada. With his young family and top angus cattle genetics, he returned to Illinois in 1997. Irl started work as a salesman for a Ford New Holland dealership and sold multi-peril crop insurance. Anne was employed as a surgical nurse at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
In 1998, Irl received his Real Estate Salesperson License and in April of 2000, he received his Real Estate Brokers License. The Rinckers became affiliated with Pierce Farm Management, a firm that manages over 15,000 acres of farmland and offers appraisal services. In 2002, the Rinckers purchased a 130-acre, diversified farm that included grain and provided a new home for the award-winning angus herd now known as “Can Am Cattle”.
In 2009, the Rinckers received the Illinois Land Stewardship Award for the land improvements they had placed on their farm and their name was placed into national competition.
In 2008, with the encouragement of Col. Tommy Williams, partner of the nationally-known real estate firm Williams & Williams, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Irl entered in the prestigious Reppert School of Auctioneering. He joined the Illinois Association of Auctioneers and immediately started Rincker Real Estate Auction Services LLC. He was joined by his son Austin, in 2009.
Austin is a 2009 graduate of the Reppert School of Auctioneering and graduated from the University of Illinois with honors in May of 2010, with a major in Agricultural Economics and a minor in crop science.
